Viva Farms-King County

Viva Farms-King County is home to the Student Farm & Farm Business Incubator in the Sammamish Valley. It offers land, equipment, infrastructure and training for beginning farmers to launch independent farm businesses. The urban incubator is comprised of smaller-scale and more intensive farming operations that reflect the location of the site and proximity to a larger urban center.

A Farm in the Sammamish Valley is home to Tonemaker Farm Stand and Viva Farm King County’s Student Farm and Farm Business Incubator offering CSA subscriptions. These acres, and neighboring farms, are in the Sammamish Valley APD.
Background: In efforts to protect the agricultural economy within the Sammamish Valley, King County created the Farmland Preservation Program, resulting in designating five Agricultural Production Districts (APD’s) of which the Sammamish Valley was the first priority. This APD is the smallest with approximately 1,000 acres located along the Sammamish River bordered by the Cities of Woodinville, Redmond and Kirkland, in unincorporated King County.

Find us at the Woodinville Farms Market on Saturdays. Purchase your CSA subscription now! We grow fresh, local and delicious vegetables. In 2022 our farm produced 57 varieties of produce over a nine month season.

Farm Stand and Grange Heritage & Sawmill Display Gardens are open Fridays and Saturdays, beginning in May, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with farm tours offered both days at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The Farm Stand will have freshly harvested herb bundles, edible flowers and herb starts. Access to the Gardens is through the gate adjacent to the SV Trail. Volunteers welcome for weekly work parties. (Call 206-850-2743 for ADA parking options.)
Open Air Market; Festival Street, 13205 NE 175th St.
Opening day, Saturday, May 4th. Offering fresh fruit, vegetables, flowers, handmade arts & crafts, and more. The market operates each Saturday from 10am to 3pm between May and September. Located on Festival Street in Downtown Woodinville adjacent to the sports fields, next to District Flats Apartments.
